Beginning in Pokhara, this trek encircles Dhaulagiri Himal, which comprises of Dhaulagiri I - IV all over 7000m and offers simple lifestyle and scenery of Nepal from cultivated fields to mountain villages scattered along Myagdi Khola. The trail starts from Beni after an hour long drive from Pokhara and heads along the banks of Myagdi river passing through interesting villages of Babichor (950m), Darbang (1180m) and Sibang (1750m). entering the Myagdi river that penetrates deep into Dhaulagiri Himal offers the grand view of west wall of Dhaulagiri I (8167m) and moving further in, awesome view of its north wall and Dhaulagiri II (7751m), Dhaulagiri III (7715m) and Dhaulagiri V (1618m). a winding trail trekking on snow around the Chhonbarden glacier leads to French Pass (5360m) and the Thapa pass (5250m) with Hidden valley (4900m) in between offering panoramic views of Mukut Himal, Hongde (6550m), Tongu Peak (6187m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Thorong Peak (6440m) and the Annapurna I & II. The weather condition could play a definitive role in determining the successful completion through the arduous long saddle between French pass and Thapa pass.
