Rolwaling is more sparsely inhabited thus the natural surroundings have been relatively undisturbed. Traverse upstream alongside the raging Tama Koshi through lush tropical forest and quaint lower hill villages of Brahmin and Chettri. Once you reach the Sherpa village of Simigoan perched high up on the mountainside the trek completely transforms. Enter alpine forests and rocky inhospitable terrain and to the old monastery in Bedding. Passing the final remnants of village dwellings, yak pastures and enormous Glacier Lake , begin the ascent of the rigorous Trakarding Glacier and assault on Tashi Lapcha (5755m), which affords spectacular views of the Rowaling Range and the glacier valley below. Towards the top of the pass you can easily look into both side of the Rolwaling and Khumbu valley. Finally, descend into the lush valleys of the Khumbu region to complete this extreme adventure. DAY 01 ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU : Upon arrival at Tribhuwan International airport in Kathmandu meet our airport representative and transfer to the hotel .Overnight at Kathmandu . Day 02: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING In the morning after breakfast full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu , the most popular Place in the kingdom was known as kantipur in earlier times. The tour highlights are the Living Goddess " Kumari" who appear on the balcony of her temple to greet her devotees; Kastamandap temple, the temple made out of single tree and name Kathmandu is derived from durbar square and drive to Soyambhunath which lies on top of hill is the Buddhist sanctuary said to be nearly 2000 years old. The hill itself is pleasant place overlooking the entire valley of Kathmandu . The all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha painted in prominent blue atop the dome are visible from long distance from around the Kathamandu city Day 03: Kathmandu to Barabise: After breakfast early in the morning 4 hrs drive by bus 86km from Kathmandu to Barabise. From Barabise an hour trek takes you near Mahadev Koshi Temple and camping. Day 04: Barabise to Jaljale 2130m: Walking 8 hrs. After crossing Koshi River ascend to Dhungeypati for about an hour. A gradual ascent of over an hour, Aklaigaon 1500m is reached. Another one-hour gradual ascent Piskar 1760m. is reached for lunch then to Jaljale. If the day is early ascend for one hour to reach Dongjhale 2450m for the night camp. This is the only big open ground available for ground camping in Jaljale area. Day 05: Jaljale to Boncha 1930m. From Donjhale to Chotke Pass 2670m. It takes about an hour. From the pass you can see Gohainthan and Langtang mountains and also Solukhumbu areas. Descend to Burkosir 2480m after passing Dorey Dunga we stop for lunch. The track now descends steeply towards Boncha passing through a Tamang village and our crew will stop by the stream for the camp. Day 06: Boncha to Dovan 990m. Treks begins with crossing the stream ascend for 10 minutes the track now maintains a steady height and passes through the scattered village of Makaibari Tamang stups near the track junction from Lamosangu and nice cultivated till Charikot is reached. From Charikot the track to Solukhumbu bifurcates. Charikot is a big village with a number of Government offices. The Bhimsenthan a Hindu Temple is a famous place for pilgrimage. Have lunch near the temple. There is a nice water point. The track now descends steeply along the crest of a ridge down to Dovan of Bhote Koshi. Campsite is good near the bridge. Day 07: Dovan to Sub Dovan 1130m . Walking 8 hrs. the track follows the western bank height through terraced fields and thin pine forests for about 3 hrs. trek. The selected lunch spot is before reaching Pekuti village. From there to Barely suspension bridge takes about 3 hrs walk and after crossing the bridge another hour to reache Sub-Dovan. The cool breeze of Bhote Koshi compensates the day's unpleasant trek in the narrow valley. Day 08: Dovan to Tashinam 2235m. Going the right bank for about 2 hrs Tatopani village is reached. The hot spring is on the other side of the river. It takes another hour to reach Mandali village1245m. The people living in these areas are all Tamang community. Have lunch stop by the spring rive beyond Mandali. It is a nice bathing spot. Now a steep ascent about 1000m starts from there through nice pine and rhododendron forest. The last few kms are walking to Tashinam a Sherpa Village with a Buddhist temple. Day 09: Tashinam to Sakba 2650m. After climbing a little the track descends gradually round a spur and reaches a Pati {rest place} 2310m. from where one sees the confluence of Bhote Koshi and Rolwaling Koshi. Lanbagar {Choksom in Sherpa} can also be seen. There is a Police Post and wireless station. From Pati the track becomes quite dangerous while crossing the big rocky hill and then descends through a thin forest to Simigaun 2150m. Day 10: Sakba to Ramding 3000m. From Shakba track passes through rhododendron bamboos and forests. Mt. is visible Gauri Shankar 7145m, and many smaller peaks. Have lunch top by the streams at Dongkhang Dzong 3100m. The track climbs gradually up to a new bridge and after crossing follows the western bank and passes Nimerey to Ramding. The people of Rolwaling move down to these settlements from Nagaon and Bending for winter and in summer these houses are empty. Day 11: Ramding to Bending 3800m . Walking 1 hrs and rest and acclimatization. After passing through Jomojungo you will reach Bending 3800m. In an hour time. Bending is the biggest village and the center of Rolwaling valley. There is a nice Budhist temple. The houses are nicely built on the hillside. Chyang (Local Beer) and Raksi are available for sale in Sherpa houses. Have lunch near the big stupa and camp there. Day 12: Bending to Nangaun 4150m . Walking 3 hrs. It is a steady ascent of about 3 hrs along the left bank of the stream of Nangaun. This is the last settlement of yak and sheep rearing. All the houses are made of stones. One has to stock one's food supplies here before going further. Day 13/14 Nangaun. Excursions in the regions. Day 15: Nangaun to Tsobuk Lake 5000m. From Nagaon the track to Ramding Himal and Tashi Lakcha separates. After gradual ascent through the valley Tsobuk lake is reached in about 3 hrs. Have lunch there. The track beyond has to cross a dangerous stony area camp at foot of glacier. There is a pass leading towards Phaplu to the right via Chhujamo pass. Day 16: Tsobuk Lake to Drolum Bau 5400m. Cross the moraine to right the climb on ice and snow for about 300m. to be on the flat Dromum Bau glacier. Walk for about 3 hrs gaining steady altitude of 100m. on the glacier and climb to the cmpamping area 350m short of Tashi Lapcha pass 5750m. Take pack lunch. Day 17: Drolum Bau to Tashi Lapcha 5400m . After climbing route towards then descending towards Khumbu area involves technical gear and skill. The view from Tashi Lapcha is beyond description. You can see Thamserku Ama Dablam and numerous peaks surrounding Drolum Bau glacier. Day 18: Tashi Lapcha to Thame 3810m. Descend all along on steep slopes up to the Yaks pasture a Thengpo 4320m. for lunch village. Above the village you will pass theThame Monastery, beautifully built on the rocky feature. Thame is a Sherpa village where you can by traksi and chyang, vegetables meat and butter etc. Campsite is better by the stream. Day 19:Thame to Namche Bazar 3444m. A lovely walk of about 3 hours from Thame leads to Namche Bazar. The Police Post enroute may check your trekking permits. During the entire trek you are in view of Kunde Range on right and Thamserku in front. At Namche the camping site is preferable above the bazaar in the flat grazing ground and return to camp. It takes about 4 hours going. The others could conveniently visit Khumjong Kunde and Hotel Everest View at Syangbche and return to camp. Day 20: Namche Bazar to Syangboche. Walking hrs 8 those who are interested in visiting Tyangboche Monastery shall take pack lunch and proceed with the guide to Tyangboche. Day 21: Syangboche to Ghat 2510m. After breakfast descend to Hillary Bridge and then follow Dudh Koshi to Jorsale for lunch stop. Camp near Ghat by the stream. The walk goes through a stream passing through the forest and Sherpa village. Day 22: Ghat to Lukla 2800m. Trial continurs to ascend gradually to Lukla camp near the landing strip. Have a farewell dinner and campfire in the evening for your trekking crew. Day 23 Fly to Kathmandu . Transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu . Day 24 Kathmandu - departure or Extend other activities. Transfer from hotel to international airport to board onward journey flight. Or combine with other trip like white water rafting or safari tour at Chitwan Park . The cost would be charge extra for rafting & safari
